David Newman's profile
- David was born in 1957 near London and was brought up in the home counties. He studied architecture in London and Hull and has worked in London, Kent, Hertfordshire, Wiltshire and Leicestershire.
- In 1991 he moved to the Netherlands and lives and works near Amsterdam.
May 2003- Since his schooldays he has painted as an amateur, nearly always with watercolours. Most of the subjects are landscapes or townscapes in a wide variety of places from Norway to Malta.
- David has followed various painting evening classes and courses in England and the Netherlands.
- "Painting gives me a chance to concentrate fully on one subject and is a longtime passion of mine. A sense of tranquility is often visible in my paintings together with combinations of subtle washes and strong colours."
